Oben Electric Launches Rorr Evo Electric Motorcycle in India at Introductory Price of Rs 99,999
Oben Electric has launched the Rorr Evo electric motorcycle in India at an introductory price of Rs 99,999. It features a 9 kW motor, 180 km claimed range, fast charging, advanced digital console, and multiple riding modes. The bike enters a competitive EV segment with strong performance and technology features.
The Rorr Evo is powered by a 9 kW electric motor that delivers 250 Nm of torque at the wheels. It becomes the first motorcycle from the company to feature a chain drive system. The manufacturer claims an acceleration time of 0 to 40 kmph in 3 seconds, while the top speed is rated at 110 kmph. The motorcycle offers four riding modes: Eco, City, Havoc, and Smart IQ, with Smart IQ designed to optimize range based on riding behaviour.
The motorcycle is equipped with a 3.4 kWh Lithium Iron Phosphate battery pack housed in an aluminium casing with an IP67 rating. The claimed Indian Driving Cycle range is 180 kilometres. The fast-charging system enables the battery to charge from 0 to 80 percent in approximately 90 minutes. An onboard charger is positioned under the rider’s seat to enhance everyday usability.
In terms of design, the Rorr Evo features a sharper and sport-oriented profile compared to earlier models from the company. It includes a projector LED headlamp with a daytime running light, muscular tank extensions, and a slim rear section. The motorcycle is available in four colour options: Neutron Blue, Pulse Red, Magnetic Black, and Photon White.
The suspension setup consists of a telescopic front fork and a rear monoshock with seven-step preload adjustment. Braking is managed by disc brakes on both wheels supported by a Combined Braking System. It runs on 17-inch alloy wheels and offers a seat height of 780 mm, ground clearance of 200 mm, and water wading capability of 230 mm. The kerb weight stands at 140 kg. Practical storage includes a 4-litre compartment in the tank area and an additional 6-litre space under the seat.
Technology features include a 5-inch TFT display with Bluetooth connectivity, supporting navigation, music control, and call and message alerts. Additional features include regenerative braking, reverse mode, fall detection, and dual USB charging ports. App-based functions provide live tracking, geo-fencing, fall alerts, and anti-theft notifications.
The Rorr Evo enters a competitive segment alongside models such as the Revolt RV400 and the Ola Roadster X. The motorcycle positions itself as an accessible entry point into the electric motorcycle category, supported by its pricing, performance specifications, range claims, and feature set.
